Navratri Colors 2021& it's Importance - Garba@home is New trend - Durga Puja

    Navratri is the coming Hindu festival. Navratri means occasion of 9 nights. In these 9 nights people pray to the Lord Durga & every night they organized function like Garba.

Day 1 - Oct. 17 ( Saturday) -  Grey
Day 2 - Oct. 18 ( Sunday)  - Orange
Day 3 - Oct. 19 ( Monday) - White
Day 4 - Oct. 20 ( Tuesday) - Red
Day 5 - Oct. 21 ( Wednesday) - Royal Blue
Day 6 - Oct. 22 ( Thursday) - Yellow
Day 7 - Oct. 23 ( Friday) - Green
Day 8 - Oct. 24 ( Saturday) - Peacock 
                                                 green
Day 9 - Oct. 25 ( Sunday) - Purple

These 9 days have very importance & value in the whole world specially Hindus & North Indian people.
Now we will see each color importance and 9 forms of Lord Durga.

1. Grey - Refers to the quality of the destruction of evil. On this first day people worship Lord Durga in the form of Shailputri.

2. Orange - Symbolises tranquility, brightness & knowledge. This Second day dedicated to Lord Durga in the form of Brahmacharini.

3. White : Represent peace, serenity, calm & purity. On third day people worship Lord Durga in the form of Chandraghanta.

4. Red : Symbolises passion, auspiciousness, anger. This fourth day devoted to Lord Durga in the form of Kushmanda.

5. Royal Blue: Represents divine energy. People worship Skanda Mata on this fifth day.

6. Yellow : Symbolises joy and cheerfulness. This sixth day devoted to Lord Durga in the form of Katyayani.

7. Green : Refers to the Mother Nature & it's nourishing qualities. People worship Lord Durga in the form of Kalaratri on this seventh day.

8. Peacock Green : Represents the desires & wishes that get fulfilled. People worship Lord Durga in the form of Gauri on this eighth day.

9. Purple : Represents ambition, goal & energy. On this ninth day people worship Lord Durga in the form of Siddhidhatri.

   Navratri has its own story that there is battle between Lord Durga & Mahishasura (demon) in against of egotism.
   All nine days of Navratri dedicated to 9 colors . Each color has its own importance.
    These 9 days of Navratri people fast for all nine days and generally relies on fruits, milk & vrat recipes. People avoid onion and garlic and eat sattvik food which is explained in Ayurveda. Haldi which is most important ingredient in Indian cuisine and also have many health benefits. People avoid rice, wheat, non-veg, along with onion, garlic & also turmeric. Inspite of having health benefits, turmeric is avoided because it creates heat that cut the benefits of sattvik diet during fasting. People walk bare foot in these days. These days are full of energy.

    Now due to covid pandemic people are searching alternative way to celebrate these 9 days of Navratri.
   Most people have joined online Garba classes & even they decided to play Garba online this year.
   Uptil now every year people enjoyed the Garba in large group events. But this year people will celebrate garba@ home. People will celebrate Garba with family so that enjoyment is different. All are curious about this new form of Garba. 
  This year Navratri 2020 Day one color is Grey. Devotees of Maa  Durga shall keep a fast & worship one of the nine forms of Durga every day.
